Not usually, we are closed Sundays and Mondays for most of the year. We open on Mondays from April through May. Starting Memorial day we close on Mondays again for the rest of the year.
The best selection for all plants is the first 3 weeks of May. Some frost tolerant plants come in around the 1st of April and we carry a good selection of perennials through June.
We receive several shipments between mid April and the first of May. Due to supplier availability, we do not usually re-order trees after this period.
We close from Christmas Eve until mid January. Other than that we are open year round.
Street parking on Santa Fe in front of our store can often be a challenge. We also have a parking lot behind our store off of Spring St.
The first of April is when we recommend starting your fertilizing, but many people like to get a head start in March and there’s nothing wrong with that!
Mother’s Day is our average last frost date so we recommend waiting until then to plant your annual flowers and veggies such as tomatoes and peppers. Frost tolerant plants such as onions, potatoes, broccoli, perennial flowers, trees and shrubs can be planted as early as mid March.
Spring or Fall are good times to plant grass seed. Grass seeding can be done in summer, but will take much more water. April is typically a good time to start seeding your lawn as long as the weather is decent.
