Burning bush is the shrub that turns bright red in the fall. It will grow to about 6-8ft tall, and about 4-5ft wide. It will brighten the landscape without a lot of extra care. They like good drainage, so try to work the soil before planting with Canadian Peat or Cotton Burr Compost.
Snowball bushes are shrubs that grow 12ft tall. They can be pruned after flowering to keep them at a smaller size. They bloom in spring and get large white blossoms that look like snowballs.
Purple lilac do well under many condition. They can be planted as a hedge ore by themselves. They get 12-15ft tall and have bright purple fragrant flowers.
Pink potentilla grows to about 2ft and is very hardy and drought tolerant. They have pale pink blossoms that fade to white.
