If your petunias are getting leggy and only blooming at the tip of the stalks, then cut the plant back to 1/3 - 1/2 of the growth. This will encourage new foliage and flowers through the rest of the season. A good feeding with a liquid fertilizer such as "Age Old Bloom" will help the process.
