GARY'S GARDEN TIPS // JULY 6, 2013
July 13th is going to be the annual "Parade of Ponds". If you would like to participate in showing your pond, then call Mark Hecht at 406-4272. I announced this on Fox's Radio show this past week, and thanks to Nick Donovan's witty humor, he thought it should be called "Pond Stars". Be a Pond Star and sign up as soon as possible.
Spray peach, apricot, cherry, plum, and nectarine trees with Ferti-Lome Borer Spray every 7-10 days until mid August. This prevents borers from being a problem on these trees. Spray just the trunks of the trees. This product is very safe and effective.
Be sure to apply Grub Free Zone to prevent white grubs from damaging your lawn.
For those summer celebrations, be sure to spray Mosquito Beater or Bonide Eight to keep mosquitoes , flies, and gnats from being a problem in the backyard.
We carry two different sizes of nets to protect your fruit trees from getting eaten or damaged by birds.
Listen to Fox's radio on KCSJ 590 am, Saturdays @ 8am!
